Mission

Welcome to the San Marcos High School Library Web Site! We are so happy you have chosen to learn more about the resources available to you through the library. We believe that a love of lifelong learning is born in the heart of a student who has access to high quality resources and develops the skills to use those resources appropriately.

Our goal at the library is to provide equal access to the highest quality materials available. We strive to provide all students with quality instruction in the use of the library and all of its resources – books, periodicals, and technology. We teach classes throughout the year on topics such as research, database searching, and source citation. Through these purposeful learning experiences, we hope to provide students with the skills needed to develop as effective problem solvers, communicators, and citizens.

We hope you find the library web site useful for your research and that through your time at the library a spark for lifelong learning is kindled.

Hours

Textbook Office: 8am-2:30pm M-F. Closed the month of July.

Library: Closed until next school year.

Textbooks

Handouts of all books on your library and textbook accounts (including overdue books) are distributed regularly throughout the year in your English class. If you would like another printout of the books on your account at any time during the school year, stop by the library or textbook office. If you have any questions about textbooks, please call the textbook office at 760-290-2269.

A notice of all outstanding library and textbooks and corresponding fines will be mailed home in June. Please return items by the end of June or mail payment to the San Marcos High School Library at 1615 W. San Marcos Blvd., San Marcos, CA 92078.
